About Us

Tihewa Mauriora was formed by an alliance of Te Hau Ora O Kaikohe and Broadway Health Centre and became a Charitable Trust on the 10th February 2003.

Te Hau Ora O Kaikohe was founded in 1994 and is a Maori Health provider with effective representation of Maori and community needs and preferences.

Broadway Health Centre has been involved in providing General Pactitioner care to the Kaikohe Community since the 1970s.

A symbol of new growth, new life, peace and tranquillity.

The large koru represents Kaikohe Community. The 3 smaller koru represent Broadway Health Centre, other services and Te Hau Ora O Kaikohe.

Coordinated quality primary health care as an integral component of Kaikohe community's wellnes, ongoing development and enrichment.

Create opportunities and support local solutions.

Ensure accessibility to Health Services within acceptable travel times.

Consolidate, maintain and recruit a skilled multidisciplinary workforce to deliver services in a cooperative, coordinated and collaborative manner.
